Awesome comics!
I loved the cartoon and was happy to see the comics! I'm going to find them all!

Best issue of the slg series so far
The first two issues were an adaptation of "The Journey" from Goliath Chronicles from back when I was 16. They took a while to make issue 2 so the series didn't sit well with me.
Issue 3 was the first true story arc in the Gargoyles canon, yet, the coloring job in it was really poor. On page 5-ish, some of the coloring made Elisa look too old!
(NOTE: Goliath Chronicles wasn't created by the original creators aside from "The Journey", which is why it was adapted, though I thought it was unnecesary.)
However, with issue 4, the coloring situation was much improved. The inking was pretty heavy though, but it makes for an interesting look.
My only real beef is that this story was too short. I'll have to wait for 5 & 6 to complete it. But it's finally getting better than it already was.
One of the best cartoons from the 90s is finally being continued!

Let's get this party started!
Thailog's back - and by the looks of things he's been taking steroids! Wide eyed cutesy trick or treaters, and gargoyles with bags of muscle aside, Paniry's artwork on this issue is actually quite interesting. Just as I was starting to get used to Hedgecock's work on the comic, we get treated to this new artist's take on the Gargoyles Universe; and whilst the inking might be quite too thick and unsightly for some people, and some of the characters are hard to recognise, personally I quite like Paniry's art in `Masque'. Surprisingly though, I was starting to miss David Hedgecock when I first read through this issue; but there are some really good moments. On the whole the artwork's looking different but still as always looking good.
Enough of the aesthetics - if the story is lacking, there's no point in having stellar art. But as the Clan Building arc continues with Chapter 4: `Masque', I have to say things just keep getting better and better. Like `Invitation Only' this issue has a huge supporting cast; from old faces to new, this issue is jam packed with partygoers, revellers and halloweeners.
This issue picks up where the last one left off; Thailog has broken into the Labyrinth and he's collecting all of his debts. One problem - his prize concubine Delilah is off on a date with his "father" Goliath at Xanatos' Halloween Masque. Looks like Thailog has more than one party to crash tonight!
Weisman delivers a superb script in this the second of a three part story.
Clan Building 4: Masque is one to definitely pick up!

The "Masque" We All Wear
The Halloween party has begun in more ways than one. Thailog starts his party off in the Labyrinth by coming to collect on his property. Xanatos's Halloween party at Castle Wyvern, atop the Eerie Building, is in full swing, but our host is away in Washington D.C. with his family tending to his Illuminati responsibilities. Back at Castle Wyvern, the drama between Goliath and Elisa begins again, while the clan finally gets to meet Morgan. Later on, Thailog decides to crash the party at the castle, but Owen is quick to quell the disturbance. Alas, the ultimate betrayal has only begun while Goliath bleeds.
